Director.

An ongoing inter-disciplinary enquiry into the constructed self, anonymity and the super ordinary. Involving the body, performance, moving image and object. The experiment employs ideas of assemblage, absurdity, unnatural narratologies and radical beauty to propose moments of poetic nonsense designed to make you feel something. Supported at different stages by Butter Factory Arts Centre, Noosa Regional Arts Development Fund, Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance and Phluxus2 through indepenDANCE.

Place2.

Concept, project design and management.

A creative place making project designed to enliven the streets and laneways of Caloundra through artful interventions. This Sunshine Coast Council project included Place2Play - a series of seven participatory artist led public activations, Place2Paint - bringing vertical surfaces to life through contemporary murals including the regions first AR mural and Place2Connect - the transformation of an old bus interchange into a creative space - Sub Tropic Studio.

Spaces for Creatives.

Concept, program design and management.

A region wide initiative making spaces for artists to practice, connect and present. Transforming under-utilised spaces and developing new models for access to existing spaces. This ongoing Sunshine Coast Council project includes the establishment of Old Lock Up & IN ARI, Sub Tropic Studio, and 2ND Space and the Project24 Residency program.

A creative incubator, designed transform creative practice and ideas into sustainable businesses. The Refinery was an initiative of Sunshine Coast Council in partnership with SunCentral Maroochydore and the Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance.

With Australia’s leading contemporary music company, Elision Ensemble we built a team of creatives to develop a new work in residence at Judith Wright Centre for Contemporary Art, Brisbane. Devised in Melbourne, Elision Ensemble’s Chinese ritual street opera was supported by Australia Councils Major Festivals Initiative and performed at Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane Festival’s, Hebbel Theatre, Berlin, Züricher Theater Spektakel, Zurich and Saitama Arts Theatre, Tokyo. Dance Here.

Concept, project design and delivery.

A three year dance sector development project engaging multiple cultural venues, artists, educators, dance schools and community to build audiences, capacity, participation and networks. Working with Yarra Ranges Council, this project included a month-long program of unexpected people dancing in unexpected places across the region.
